FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is Ben Toogood Media licensed/insured?
Yes, we are fully licensed by the CAA & IAA for commercial drone operations and hold EC 785/2004 compliant insurance with public liability cover to the value of £10,000,000.
How long can you fly for?
Our drones can fly for up to 40 minutes on a single battery (weather dependant) allowing us to maximize time in the air capturing your footage.

What weather can you fly in?
Drone operations can usually take place in most conditions other than high winds and rain/precipitation. However, if conditions are above our operating specification, we will not operate.
How high/far can you fly?
Due to restrictions placed on unmanned aerial systems, we can only operate to a height of 400ft (120m) and within VLOS (Visual Line of Sight) of the aircraft. Operations requiring greater heights must be given at least 28 days notice to allow for permission requests to be processed by the CAA/IAA for a proposed flight.
Where can you fly?
Each location of an operation requires prior planning. Operations within Flight Restriction Zones (FRZs) require up to 28 days' notice to acquire relevant permissions from the CAA/IAA.
